Street Viper

Well, after being pretty much challenged accidentally; this is what I came up with in under 2 hours. Would have been better if I had a plan, if it was not the middle of the night, and well, it could have been better overall.

But for going into it cold, no idea, no plan, nothing but some old characters; I'm happy.

I battled scanners, paint.net, and more in order to get it up, but I think it was worth it just to say today wasn't as much of a waste as it could have been.

(wandering around downtown only to find out you were hanging around the wrong restaurant and the real one is on the other side of the city is not fun. Hmm, just noticed I did a city drawing here, interesting.)

It's a simple, rushed comic page with pretty laughable out of contect dialog, but again somehow I am happy... oh well.

These are characters from a setting my friends have dubbed "Eidolon." Though the specific story these guys are from is called "Aves." I have a few other pics from this series up here somewhere I think...

Some interesting things happened when making this. The main event would probably be digging through boxes in order to find some original sketches. Not for character designs, I know those off by heart. But when I originally started cementing the characters and setting to paper, I drew this one page with the busts of the main characters. I shaded each of them with a different colour and I loved the look. I think if I ever make this into an actual comic I will do what I did there, and here, I rather like it. So, I had to look because I completely forgot what colour I assigned to Hei. (the girl) so after finding out it was pink, I turned on my Wii as I had also forgotten her name. (I had called her Mii Heigami, decided to shorten it to Hei for the time being, makes for an interesting reference.)

As for the male character, Vin Viper; well I don't often give as much attention to my male characters as female; but I was very tempted at many times to just scrap the test comic page and just draw Vin looking creepy.
