My third proper Oekaki, done at Bulbagarden's oekaki. I really wish I wasn't using a shitty little oekaki to do this, as I really like the concept. Oh well, I still like it to some degree. I always like imagining Pokemon evolution more like this rather than a flash of light. And while I guess it doesn't totally apply to Scizor, I still think it would be cooler than putting a jacket on a scyther and trading it.

Dude, I love this. Simple oekaki or not. :heart:

And I'll have to agree with you: I find this far more interesting than a bright flash of light, and I think you pulled this off really well. It kinda reminds me of some wildlife photo or something, which makes me happy.
Though I think this would only work for bug Pokemon, 'cause yeah... a Raichu crawling out from a Pikachu's skin just wouldn't seem right. <.D;

Hahahaha, oh man... XD Raichu crawling out of a Pikachu husk is a hillarious mental image. But you're right, it would probably only work for bugs, and maybe a select few others, like reptilian pokemon like arbok or grovyle. Thanks a lot by the way!

I like the concept, it really fits. I like bugs shedding their skins because they seem so vulnerable and yet they do it anyway.

Now you might get an idea of how long I hold pictures in my watch... way longer than you I'm sure =P

but besides getting buried underneath piles of other art, I'm about to comment on a crazy golden age.

Thank you. XD I did have a lot of fun doing this if I can remember. The old Pokemon manga where Ivysaur evolved by simply growing and blooming has always inspired me to imagine pokemon evolution like this. Oh a "golden age"... Maybe I should try and draw a lot and make another one. If York goes on strike I'll definately try.
